On the edge of Tomintoul, drop into the bird hide to see curlews, lapwings and oystercatchers that particularly like the surrounding marshy farmland in the spring and summer. This area provides important habitat for nationally declining wading birds. Beyond the hide as you follow the Tomintoul Circular Path, enjoy the blooms and scents of wildflowers and look for out for bees and butterflies in the nearby fields and meadows.
We have had a wonderful week staying in Glen Feshie. The cottage is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It was perfect for our family of five. The village is in a beautiful part of the Cairngorms with walks and mountain biking straight out of the front door. I would highly recommend a stay here!
Just back from a great week here. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a week away from the madness. Tomintoul is a great location with the Cairngorms & the Moray coast all within easy reach. The village itself is well served by 3 hotels & a coffee shop. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. The chippy van on Tuesday was brilliant- a great service.
A wonderfully clean and well equipped home for the week, this wasn’t just a house rental, it felt like home. Thank you so much.
Fantastic holiday cottages – can’t recommend them highly enough – very clean and cosy with easy access to the Glenlivet Bike Trails. Would definitely book again.
